History of the Children’s Museum of Phoenix
The Children’s Museum of Phoenix opened its doors in 2008, transforming a historic 1920s Monroe School building into an immersive learning space. The goal was to create a museum where children could touch, explore, and play freely, breaking away from traditional “do-not-touch” exhibits. Over the years, the museum has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Children’s Museums in the U.S. by Parents Magazine and continues to expand its exhibits and community programs.
